The Radio Frequency Macro Unit enables wireless triggering of macros on an Express™, Expression®, or Insight™ console. Each of the four buttons on the RFMU handheld transmitter triggers a separate macro on the console.
The receiver plugs into to the Remote Macro or Remote Go connector on the back of the console. A six foot cable allows optimum placement of the receiver antenna. Additional transmitters may be used for control by multiple people. The RFMU has a range of over 500 feet under ideal reception conditions. If multiple RFMU systems are installed, unique codes can be set on each transmitter/receiver pair to avoid interference.
The RFMU triggers macros on the lighting console. A macro is a pre-recorded sequence of console keystrokes. When a macro is triggered, the console acts exactly as if the recorded sequence of keys was being typed. Here are quick step-by-step directions for recording a macro, for example macro number 1901.
The transmitter is powered by a replacable 3 volt lithium battery (included). The receiver is powered by the lighting console (not included). No power outlet is required.
Two models are available, which are identical except for the console connector. Either model can be used with or without Emphasis™ software. Extra transmitters are also available. Shipping is free with pre-paid online orders using the buttons below. Purchase orders may be accepted, shipping FOB West Side Systems; please email rfmu(at)westsidesystems.com for details. At this time the RFMU is available only in the US and Canada.
